Introduction of Project:
Education in rural areas like ours had been going debilitating slowly and gradually, there was no concept of girl’s education. Sensing this pressing need for girl’s education we started girl’s education program since 2006. Through this program, SSO is operating community girl’s primary/elementary schools in taluka Johi of District Dadu with the total enrollment of 365.
The aim of the project is to provide the quality education to the less privileged villages of the taluka.
The education team consists 18 trained staff members for running the program smoothly and effectively.
To build the capacity of the members, SSO provides the opportunities for avail the trainings from time to time to keep the staff abreast about the new trends in the field of education. Moreover, we formed and are conducting the school management committees and mother’s meetings in respective villages.
Achievements:
- 365 girls of the targeted area are getting quality education at their door step
- Up graded one school from primary to middle level
- Construction of two new school buildings with the support of bhpbilliton
